Bar Coded Cattle Tags

Following the lifting of the beef export ban, Shearwell can now produce bar coded tags which are required for exporting cattle. You must check with the exporter what is required as this can vary between countries.

For calves not already tagged, we recommending a new run of Large Primary and Secondary bar coded tags.

For animals already tagged, you are not allowed a third official tag, but we can issue a bar coded tag (bearing the same details as the official tags) without a NI logo. These will be used in addition to the Official Tags.

Bar coded tags do not have to be used in sequence with existing tag supplies, so farmers with animals to export can source and use the new tags immediately.
